"this annoying chirya thinks it's wholesome to do chee chee near my window at 5am IN THE MORNING," Alizeh whispered in his sleepy voice as she woke up abruptly to the vexing chirping Of a bird. .

Alizeh's mother gently pushed open her bedroom door. " subah subah kon tung kar raha meri pyari beti ko." her mother demanded as she noticed the look of distress on Alizeh's face.

("Who has started troubling my daughter so early in the morning?")

"This chirya, mom. It ruined my sleep. I wanted to continue sleeping, but its incessant noise woke me up, uggggh." Alizeh replied to her mother, frustration evident in her voice.

"Well, at least it did my job for me," her mother said, struggling to suppress her laughter.

Alizeh asked, confused, "What do you mean?" She couldn't grasp what her mother was trying to say.

"I came here to wake you up, but upon arriving, I realized that the bird you're complaining about had already done my job," Alizeh's mother said with a grin.

"Ohhh I see," Alizeh murmured with a melancholic expression.

Alizeh was still lying on her bed, her mother approaching and gently brushing her hair away from her forehead as she kissed it, saying, "It's getting late, beta. Get up and go freshen up; your flight is today."

Alizeh groaned softly, the sound barely escaping her lips as she slowly opened her eyes. The morning light filtering through the curtains was still too harsh for her liking. "Mom, just a few more minutes," she mumbled, her voice muffled as she tugged the covers up over her shoulders, seeking refuge from the day.

Her mom patted her arm lovingly. A warm, reassuring smile crossed her face. "Alright, just a few more minutes," she said softly. "I'll see you downstairs."

With a final affectionate glance, her mother turned and made her way down the stairs, leaving Alizeh nestled in her cocoon of warmth. As the door closed behind her, Alizeh let out a contented sigh, savouring the brief extension of her morning slumber.

Today, she was leaving for Switzerland to pursue her dream of fashion design. London may have been the obvious choice, but Alizeh found herself drawn more to Switzerland. She had taken exams a few months ago and secured admission to the same university where her best friend also studied. Initially, she had felt a bit anxious, but now, knowing that her best friend lived there, her excitement overshadowed any lingering nerves.

"I will miss you, Mom. I cannot fathom how I will manage without you both." I spoke before getting inside the car.

"I will miss you too dear, and don't worry. Your Dad and I will come to visit you," Mom said, holding me tightly. A tear welled up in my eye, and I quickly brushed it away, knowing that if they saw it, both Mom and Dad would start crying.

"Hmm," I whispered, before getting inside the car beside my Dad.

"Have safe flight and call me when you reach there." I nod and give her a flying kiss before closing the window.

I leaned against the window, my mind a whirlwind of thoughts about my upcoming studies and the visit to Switzerland. The prospect of exploring a foreign country for the first time both thrilled and unnerved me. While I had always been captivated by the allure of new horizons, the imminent flight filled me with trepidation. It wasn't the aeroplane itself that troubled me, but my intense fear of heights.

The thought of soaring thousands of feet above the ground made my stomach churn. Yet, the opportunity to study in such a prestigious setting and to immerse myself in the rich culture of Switzerland was too enticing to pass up. I imagined the picturesque landscapes, the charming towns, and the promise of intellectual growth that awaited me. Despite my fear, I resolved to face the journey with courage, determined to conquer my anxieties and embrace the adventure ahead.

After some time, the car jolted to a halt, abruptly pulling me from my reverie. A frown creased my brow, a mixture of confusion and irritation flashing across my face. I turned to my father, my eyes silently questioning the unexpected stop.

My Dad, with a gentle smile and a reassuring tone, looked at me and said, "We've arrived," motioning to the airport.

"Oh," I muttered, opening the door to step out.

Dad too get outs of the car to help with my luggage. After taking out two suitcases and one bag from the car trunk. My dad pulled me into a hug, and in return, I embraced him, telling him to take care of himself and mom.

He replied, asking me to take care of myself too, which I nodded.

Call us once you arrive," Dad shouted with smile, as soon as I reached the main entrance gate. "As you say, my love," "Yes, he is my love... and not just mine, but every girl's father is her first love." And one more thing this doesn't mean I don't love my mother; I cherish her dearly as well. They both are my whole world.

Stepping into the bustling airport for the first time, I felt a mix of awe and nervousness. The vast expanse of the terminal, the constant hum of activity, and the myriad of people rushing to and fro made my heart race. I clutched my documents tightly, trying to steady my nerves as I approached the check-in counter.

The receptionist greeted me with a professional smile. "Good morning Mam. May I have your ticket, please?"

"Yes, here you go,"

Do you have any luggage to check in?"

"Yes, two suitcases and one bag." I answered by placing my suitcase on the scale.

The receptionist tagged my luggage and handed me my boarding pass. "Here is your boarding pass. Your flight departs from Gate 12, and boarding begins in an hour. Have a pleasant journey."

I smiled, taking the boarding pass.

"Thank you ."

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We are now making our final descent into Zurich, Switzerland. The local time is 10:45 AM, and the temperature is a crisp -2 degrees Celsius, with a light snowfall gently blanketing the city. The winter landscape below is truly enchanting, with snow-capped mountains and picturesque villages creating a stunning panorama. Please ensure your seatbelts are securely fastened as we prepare to land.

"As I heard the announcement for landing, my heart raced and my hands gripped the seat tighter. I wasn't afraid during takeoff, but now, as we approached the landing, I felt a sudden fear creeping in. I shut my eyes tightly as soon as the plane's wheels touched the ground... My breath was rapid.

Once we landed, I opened my eyes as if hearing the announcement had finally allowed me to breathe again. Otherwise, my overthinking mind would have imagined anything."

"Now I've decided I won't be flying back alone at any cost.

"You're speaking as if you'll come back next time with your boyfriend. My subconscious reminds me as I have to come back alone.

Irritated, I shot back silently "Shut up, you bitch, you have always chimed in at the time Of my distress.

"Anyhow, now I have time to return." I let out a sigh of relief.

I rose from my seat, I swiftly followed the signs to the gate and navigated my way off the plane. Stepping outside, I retrieved my luggage from the baggage claim area and charted my course towards exiting the airport.

The sharp winter cold stung my exposed skin, contrasting with the comfort of my warm winter wear, as I stepped out Of the airport. I wore a winter ensemble featuring a black top paired with a grey miniskirt, complemented by a long black cardigan that reached just below my knees. I completed the look with knee-high boots and a scarf wrapped snugly around my neck.

As I made my way towards the parking lot with my luggage in tow, goosebumps began to ripple across my skin as I walked.

Taking out my phone from my pocket, I called my mom to let her know I had arrived. After just one ring, she answered and asked if I had reached without any problems or not.. I assure her that "I've arrived safely without facing any problems."

"Is Alizeh there? Let me talk to her," I heard Dad say in the background, Taking the phone from mom's hand, "Did you reach safely?" Dad asked me

"Yes, Dad."

"I have something to tell you, don't get angry." Dad told making my burrows furrowed

"Okay, I'm all ears."

" The thing is, Aria was insistent that she come to pick you up. She called me a few hours ago, urging me vehemently to convince you that she wants you to accompany her to her brother's wedding anniversary party tonight. She promised to drop you back at your apartment after the party. I couldn't find any reason to say no and then she pleaded with me so earnestly." Dad calmy narrated all the details to me.

"Is that all, Dad? And you thought I would be upset? No Dad I'm not upset... and I have no problem with it. Since she requested so much, I will definitely go.

"That's my girl! Okay, now talk with your mom. I have an important call to take. Love you, Princess."

"Alright, Dad. Aria will be arriving soon, so I'll speak to Mom once I reach the apartment. Love you more."

Just when I was going to put my phone back in my pocket a voice caught my attention.

"HEY BESTIE "

I saw the owner of the voice. It was none other than my best friend Aria. "Yes, she's my best friend. We studied together until 12th grade. I still remember when I found out she was going to shift abroad, I couldn't eat for three days. It took a lot of convincing from Mom and Dad to bring me back to my regular routine. I wasn't so young then as to cry over such matters, but only those who have had to part ways with their best friend can truly understand."

My chain of thought broke when I saw her hugging me and asked, 'Where are you lost? I've been talking to you.'

"'Nowhere," I replied, maintaining composure as I hugged her back.

I was very happy to see you." she spoke between hugs, feelings are mutual bestie, Upon hearing my reply, she began to laugh.

"Now that you've had your laugh, "shall we go?'

(Feelings are mutual bestie she responded and we both laughed)

Taking the luggage, the driver promptly stowed it in the trunk, then he came and opened the back seat door for both of us.

We both got inside the car and went to her house.

"Beta apne Dad ko inform kiya" The driver asked , I looked at him and replied "Haan"

"Aap shayad pehli baar aayi hai Switzerland" He asked

("Haan, par apko kese maloom.") I asked, confused.

"Kyunki aapke Mom Dad bahut baar aaye hai yaha, par mene unke saath aapko kabhi nahi dekha." He spoke confidently.

"Haan sahi kaha aapne," I replied with smiles.

Acha beta apko agar kahi bhi ghoomana ho toh mujhe batana, main aapko le jaunga.

Saying "okay" I nod and after that none of us speaks.

After some time, the car stopped in front of a beautiful mansion. Driver got out of the car and opened the door for them. ADMIRING THE MANSION, Alizeh GOT OUT OF THE CAR.

She took a step forward And looked at the breathtaking view In front of her.

Right now the mansion looked even more magnificent as it was resplendently adorned for the wedding anniversary, enhancing its beauty even further. Alizeh can't help but admire the beauty of the interior.

"It's so beautiful". Alizeh whispered looking at the front of the mansion.

What?. Her friend Aria asked her.

"Your house, I have never seen such a beautiful mansion anywhere rather than in my novel," Alizeh

Ohh you're talking about a mansion. I thought you were talking about me.

"Aria, my darling, if I wanted to call you beautiful, I would have done it when we first met at the airport. Don't you think so?" Alizeh replied, teasingly.

"Does that mean I don't look beautiful?" Aria asked Alizeh with a crestfallen expression.

"No," Alizeh remarked with amusement at her question.

As soon as Alizeh's reply reached her ears, Aria's mood shifted, and she became visibly upset. "Just go, I don't want to talk to you anymore," she said, turning away.

Alizeh, noticing Aria's sudden change, couldn't help but laugh. "Come on, stop with the drama," she said, still smiling. "I was just teasing you. Let's not make a fuss out of it."

Aria's expression softened as she saw the playful glint in Alizeh's eyes. Despite her earlier irritation, she couldn't stay mad for long. The two friends shared a moment of laughter, their lighthearted banter quickly easing the tension.

"Now can we go inside or "Will this enchanting friend of mine merely let me admire the house from the outside?"

Aria nodded and they both went inside.

Aria's mom welcomed Alizeh with a warm embrace and she also hugged her back.

"You have grown up so beautifully, kahi tumhe meri hi nazar na lag jaye." She uttered softly, breaking the hugs and taking some kohl off her eyes, putting it behind her ear to cast evil eyes off.

"Not more than you, aunty," She replied genuinely with a grin.

"I hope you didn't have any trouble coming here?" She shook her head.

"Alright, Aria please escort Alizeh to her room; she must be weary. Besides, you both need to get ready for the party.

"Okay mom." saying she and Alizeh headed towards the staircase to get ready for tonight's party."
